Another advantage of this technology is the fact that this technology creates a collaborative environment making the communication of this technology virtual.
There are cons of augmented reality. First of all, using AR is primarily about privacy and invasion. It is a danger to a person’s privacy and a threat to others. The security of a user may be challenged because AR systems will see what the user does. AR can thus gather a great deal of information about who the user is and what he/she is doing. Related, and even more so, to social networks. Privacy of a user could be compromised if, for example, hackers gain access to a device.
A significant disadvantage of augmented reality is that it requires large data sets to be collected, produced, and analyzed. There are also issues with intrusiveness. Still, there are AR systems about the topic of privacy and security that record the environment in real-time.
