There are many home remedies that claim to get rid of dark circles and bags.  The home remedies act as astringents, causing the loose skin beneath the eyes to tighten.  One home remedy is to use potatoes. Grate one or two raw potatoes to extract the juice. Soak a cotton ball in the juice and place it over your closed eyes. Make sure the juice covers the dark circles under your eyes as well as the eyelids. Allow the juice to sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse your eyelids well with cool water. Repeat once or twice daily for a few weeks. Potatoes have natural bleaching properties that can help lighten dark circles. They can also help get rid of puffiness around the eyes.
A second home remedy is to use almond oil. Lightly massage a little almond oil under your eyes daily before going to bed. Leave it on overnight and rinse it off the next morning. Follow this remedy daily until the dark circles disappear. Almond oil is a great natural ingredient that is very beneficial for the delicate skin around your eyes. Regular usage of almond oil will help fade your under eye circles. In addition to almond oil, you can use vitamin E oil to eliminate dark circles under the eyes.

You can never dispose of dark circles on the off chance that you don’t take care of your diet and have enough rest. Improper diet is one of the major reasons of dark circles under eyes. Deficiency of vitamin A, vitamin E, calcium, iron, vitamin K, antioxidants and vitamin B12 help the forming of dark circles. Here are a few tips for your proper diet and lifestyle so you can cure and prevent dark circles from forming under your eyes. Drink lots of water to avoid water maintenance. Have a greater amount of green verdant vegetables. Some other tips include: reduce salt intake in your diet, get 7-8 hours of sleep, exercise, and avoid introduction to the sun.
