Row Row Row Your Boat

Summer is just a few weeks away. Have you planned on where to go on vacation? If not, what better place to be in the country other than New York City. Rent a boat at the Loeb Boathouse located in the Central Park Lake, which spans over 22 acres. Boating starts in the month of April up to November. The boating house opens at 10AM and closes at 6PM everyday. Rowboats hold up to 4 people and are $15 per hour, $3.00 for every 15 minutes after given time, while  Gondolas are $30 per half an hour and hold up to 6 people.

Junior, Birjot Kaur, said “ I really loved the amount of comfort Central Park boating provided for me. It’s not dirty or unsanitary in any way, it’s simply a great stress reliever to just sit and watch the city before your eyes.”

Renting a boat could be the perfect date, wedding proposal, or a picnic with friends. Take advantage of the fact you live in the city and explore the beautiful nature as much as you can.  It’s a  soothing place where you can get your mind off school stress. Plus, they have a nice restaurant right  by the boating area.

Kaur recommended, “ Something I would like to inform people before going is to make sure you know how to row! It would definitely be useful for this activity. Also, before you decide to go boating make sure the weather is nice. The boating house may or my not be closed due to weather conditions. Make sure temperature is nice!”
