Free Money for College? Yes Please!!

The time is near for everyone to start thinking about college since it is never too early. Throughout the recent years, college has been becoming harder and harder for students and for their families to pay for. There are financial aid opportunities but not all students get to receive aid. This is why outside scholarships are available for students to apply for who are thinking about financing their college education!

There are a variety of different scholarships that mostly all students can apply for depending on the type of scholarship. Students can start to finance their college education early–even starting as sophomores! One of these scholarships is called the Niche No Essay Scholarship which applies to any student planning on going to college, adults going back to school and college students. The scholarship runs as a lottery so anyone can apply every month for the scholarship. It is a simple scholarship, since all you need to do is create an account with Niche and you will automatically be placed in the chance to win a $2,000 scholarship.

Another scholarship opportunity is called The Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship all high school students 9-12 and college students can apply to. All you need to do to enter the scholarship is write all your basic information (name, dob, graduation year, gpa) and write a short 140 character message on technology addiction. Ten candidate’s messages are chosen and are asked to write an essay (500-1000 words) on technology. The winner is then chosen to win a $1,000 scholarship! Hurry and sign up before January 30th!

The final scholarship is called the College Jump Start Scholarship which students in grades 10-12 can apply to. The scholarship application begins by asking for general information and an essay question to be answered in 250 words or less. You can choose your essay out of the four topics; what are your educational goals or how will winning this scholarship help you attain your goals or write about a time when “hard work” paid off or describe your experience with community service and how that has affected you and your outlook. Be sure to apply before April 25th 2016 to win the $1,000 scholarship!
