We asked some students around Edison about how they felt about the movie and if they thought it was worth the watch.
Digital Media student, Anthony Ferierra, shares his thoughts on his expectations.
“I played the games when I was younger so I had high expectations, but I knew I would like the movie regardless.”
When asked what he thought about the animation and casting Anthony had this to say,
“The animation was for real amazing. I expected it to be good but it was better than I thought. I think Jack Black did a really good job playing Bowser, he was probably my favorite character.”

Chris Pratt brings his charm and humor to Mario, while Charlie Day’s manic energy is a perfect fit for Luigi. In an interview with a student at Edison, Allison Perez, we got her take on the popular movie. Allison comments on the hype around the movie.
“The movie was really hyped up, I honestly don’t think I would have watched it if It wasn’t talked about so much online.”
When asked how she felt about the movie Allison commented on the storyline itself.
“I feel like they could have added more to the storyline, there weren’t really any twists or turns, it just got straight to the point and you could pretty much predict what was going to happen.”
Despite some criticisms, the Mario movie was still a highly entertaining and enjoyable adventure that is sure to delight fans of the series. Its stunning animation, engaging characters, and talented voice cast make it a worthy addition to the Mario Universe.
