Every month the GlamourGals Foundation hosts a contest on their Instagram page, @_glamourgals. This past January, our GlamourGals club at Thomas Edison had their fame: they won!
GlamourGals as a non-profit organization with a mission to construct teen volunteer groups to women in senior homes. These volunteers offer beauty makeovers such as manicures, and companionship to brighten up their day.
Vice President of the Thomas Edison GlamourGals Chapter, Fawzia Rahman states, “because of our consistent pictures and uploads of videos on IG, we were recognized for the month of January for our participation as the TAEHS GG Chapter… it was a group effort and we are very thankful for it as a chapter. Due to our members and officers hardwork, we feel truly humbled and honored for this type of acknowledgement and achievement. Our Edison Chapter made over eleven visits this year and plan on making more visits. There is a great disparity from teenagers to senior citizens and to narrow that gap, we try to make as many visits as we can and share our stories and love on a weekly basis.”
