Great Reasons to Hydrated

As the warm weather is approaching, there are many events that we need to look good for,such as prom, graduation, summer vacation, you name it. It’s time to adapt a new and healthy lifestyle, and one way we can start is by staying hydrated. Teenagers need to be educated on the benefits of drinking water for the betterment of themselves.

Let’s start by learning the importance of water. Approximately 50 to 70% of our body mass is made up of water, including skin, tissues, cells and the organs. It’s required to process all the nutrients from the food we eat and carry the assimilated nutrients to the cells by circulating through our system; without water, we simply can’t function right.

Now, are you tired of getting acne? Just like the other organs of our body, skin is also made of several cells. Water is essential to maintain the optimum skin moisture and deliver essential nutrients to the skin cells. Replenishing the skin tissues and increasing elasticity,  often results in decreasing acne, wrinkles, and fine lines.

What about the stubborn dark spots or redness that won’t go away? Well, the more water you drink will keep the skin well hydrated and glistening, thereby, enhancing the complexion. Overall, water is way better than the topical creams we apply on our skin.

We all want to attain that perfect summer body. Well, here’s good news, water is great for weight loss. Studies have shown that drinking water raises your metabolism and improves your fat burning rate. Drinking a decent amount of water before a meal can make you feel more satisfied, and eat less.

The best part about staying hydrated is that it helps flush all the toxins out of your system. The more water you intake, helps kidneys remove waste products from the blood, eliminate toxic substances in the urine, and receive water-soluble toxins from the liver for processing.

Water also helps your mental health, it increases energy and reduces stress, Since your brain is mostly water, drinking it helps you think, focus and concentrate better and be more alert. It’s a natural headache remedy which are commonly caused by dehydration.

Last, but not least, staying hydrated puts you in a good mood. Solely because you know that you’re doing the right thing for you and your body. Being healthy is always a great feeling.
