Following the reveal of her new look, the singer released her latest single “Your Power” unlocking her new era, “Happier Than Ever.”
The singer took to Instagram to announce her stardom in British Vogue’s June 2021 issue. Eilish traded in her iconic green highlights and baggy clothing for 1950’s pin-up hair accompanied by vintage-inspired corsets and lingerie, bound to get a reaction from fans. The post surpassed one million likes in six minutes, breaking her previous record when she unveiled her new platinum blonde hair. The cover has become the most-liked in the history of the magazine on the British Vogue Instagram page, a title previously held by Ariana Grande. Eilish currently has eight posts in the Instagram top 20 most liked posts, the most of any person on the platform.

Edison CTE High School said. “It’s something we haven’t seen from Billie and I think everyone was shocked and surprised by what they saw because we never saw Billie in this way before. It was kind of the end of an era,” Bedessie added.
Body image is something Eilish has struggled with in the past. The singer got candid about her views in a short film called “Not My Responsibility.” “Some people hate what I wear. Some people praise it. Some people use it to shame others. Some people use it to shame me. But I feel you watching, always, and nothing I do goes unseen,” Eilish says in the film. “So, whether I feel your stares, your disapproval, or your sigh of relief—if I lived by them, I’d never be able to move. Would you like me to be smaller? Weaker? Softer? Taller? Would you like me to be quiet? Do my shoulders provoke you? Does my chest? Am I my stomach, my hips?” Eilish emphasizes that her body issues are personal to her and the opinions of others are invalid.
