Renowned Boba Shop, Kung Fu Tea, Creates Splash

Boba shop Kung Fu tea opened in Jamaica mid-2022 at Persons Blvd – near Hillcrest High School. 

Multiple Kung Fu Tea locations currently operate in Queens, including Forest Hill, Flushing, and even in Floral park. Bowey is working in the Jamaica location for the past 4 months and previously worked in Floral park. 

Bowey said he hopes to cultivate a welcoming environment and make the shop a friendly place for hanging out and have so boba. 

“We like the environment and the community,” she said “students love the boba” After opening Kung Fu Tea received a great response specifically from the students. To encourage the student’s enthusiasm for bobble tea, Kung Fu Tea also has offers for students. “By showing ID, students can get 10% off on their purchase,” she said. 

After school, the stores get packed and students gather to get their favorite drinks. “The most popular order is the original bubble tea and students like it the most,” she said. Alongside the most popular drink, Kung Fu Tea also has different refreshments and flavors such as Matcha, Oreo cream, and Hershey’s. 

Students are excited to have Kung Fu Tea on Persons Blvd. 

“I’ve been coming to the Kung Fu Tea for a while, and we all are very excited to have a boba shop like this near our school,” Rishat said.
